WoW Forever Names: Generators, Surnames & Guides

This is the directory for everything WoW Forever on NameForge. Start here when you know roughly what you want and need the right tool or page to get there.

Race pages cover all ten playable races, from Human and Dwarf to Tauren and both branches of the new Skyborne, the High Order for the Alliance and the Windshapers for the Horde. Class pages focus on what a Warlock, Paladin, Shaman or any other class should sound like. Race and class pages combine the two, so you can jump straight to names that fit a specific character.

Ruleset pages tune names for PvE, PvP, Roleplay and Hardcore, since a pun that works on a PvE server will not fly on Roleplay. The surname generator works on second names alone, the guild name generator handles guild names, and the guild surname tool finds a family name your whole group can share.

The guides explain the official and reported naming rules, how two-part names work, how to prepare for Early Name Reservation, and how to name a Skyborne character.

      Frequently asked questions

Where can I find names for a specific race and class in WoW Forever?

The WoW Forever hub links to a page for every race, every class, and combined race and class pages such as Skyborne Horde Shaman or Orc Warrior. Each page generates names tuned to that combination, with the same tone and ruleset options as the main generator.

Does NameForge have names for the new Skyborne race?

Yes. The Skyborne have two pages, one for the Alliance branch, the High Order, and one for the Horde branch, the Windshapers. Both use airy, elven first names and wind, sky and altitude surnames. The Skyborne names guide explains the style in detail.

Is there a guide to the WoW Forever naming rules?

Yes. The naming rules guide lists what Blizzard has confirmed, separates it from details reported by guides and press, and ends with a checklist to run before you reserve. Other guides cover how surnames work, reservation prep and Skyborne names.
